Christina Devereaux

PhD, MA, LCAT, LMHC, BC-DMT, NCC
 

Christina Devereaux received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology from The Santa Barbara Graduate Institute and her Master’ s Degree in Dance/movement therapy from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her dissertation research focused on the early interactive experiences between mothers and their infant children who were later diagnosed with autism. She has extensive clinical experience with a variety of populations including children with severe emotional disturbance and with pervasive developmental disorders, physical disabilities, victims of abuse and neglect, families in crisis, adults with mental illness and dual diagnosis, and supporting healthy attachment with mother/infant dyads.

Christina serves as Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Training in the Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling program at Antioch University New England and as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute and is supporting the development of Inspirees, a Dance/movement therapy training program in China as a Senior Trainer. Christina currently serves as ADTA Spokesperson and on the Editorial Board for the American Journal of Dance Therapy.
